Ampil, whose work in Miss Saigon was captured on the expansive international complete symphonic recording of the Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil musical, counts among her West End and European musical credits both Eponine and Fantine in Les Miserables, as well as Rent, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Musical of Musicals, I Sing! and Hair. Produced by John Yap for Jay Records and backed by the National Symphony Orchestra, Ampil offers her interpretations of "Think of Me," "On My Own," "Easy to Be Hard," "Out Tonight," "Neverland," "I Don't Know How to Love Him," "The Old Apartment," "Birds," "Daddy's Girl" and "I Dreamed a Dream."
The album is populated with several guest appearances, including Niklas Anderson on "All I Ask of You" and "Sun and Moon," Julia Moller for "I Know Him So Well" and Koit Toome on "Without You." Original Metropolis star Graham Bickley joins Ampil for a duet of "If It's Only Love/Bring On the Night," and Simon Bowman, Miss Saigon's original Chris, joins the singing actress for that musical's signature duet, "The Last Night of the World."
