The two will be joined on stage by Broadway veteran Dale Soules (Hands on a Hardbody, "Orange Is the New Black") and newly announced cast members Jordan Dean (The New Century), Lance Coadie Williams (BootyCandy) and Zoë Winters (4000 Miles).

The production reunites LuPone (Gypsy, Evita, Anything Goes) with Urie (Buyer & Cellar, The Temperamentals), who appeared together on the sitcom "Ugly Betty," in which LuPone guest-starred as Urie's mother.

According to LCT, "Shows for Days is playwright Douglas Carter Beane's fond remembrance of his immersion into a life in the theatre. The comedy is set in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1973, when 14-year-old Car, the play's narrator and the author's alter-ego (to be played by Urie), is introduced to the world of theatre through his local community theatre, the Prometheus Theatre, and its devoted cast and crew which is led by Irene (to be played by LuPone), an indomitable force of nature whose life is dedicated to putting on productions she directs, designs, and stars in. Soules will be featured as a member of the theatre troupe." The production will have sets by John Lee Beatty, costumes by William Ivey Long, lighting by Natasha Katz and sound by Leon Rothenberg.
