Stone, who is known for her film work in "Birdman," "The Help," "Easy A" and "The Amazing Spider-Man," joined the cast of Cabaret Nov. 11. Originally slated to depart the production Feb. 1, Stone will now continue through Feb. 15. Her replacement has not been announced.

Stone — who was previously considered for the role when Cabaret announced its Broadway return, but was unable to be involved due to commitments for a film project — succeeds Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams.

The extended engagement, featuring Tony-winning star Alan Cumming and 2014 Tony Award nominees Linda Emond and Danny Burstein, continues through March 29.

The production officially opened April 24 at Studio 54. Academy Award winner Sam Mendes (director) and Academy Award nominee Rob Marshall (co-director/choreographer), who were Tony-nominated for their work on the 1998 production, returned to recreate their direction and choreography from the 1998 Tony Award-winning production. Once again, they converted Studio 54 into the gritty Kit Kat Klub, with cabaret-type seating as well as traditional theatre seating, to recreate the environment of the notorious pre-war Berlin nightclub.

Cabaret features a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. It is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

The original design team also returns for the 2014 production, including set and club design by Robert Brill, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Peggy Eisenhauer and Mike Baldassari and sound design by Brian Ronan. Patrick Vaccariello is the musical director.

Studio 54 is located at 254 West 54th Street. Tickets can be purchased online at, by phone at (212) 719-1300 and at Roundabout's American Airlines Theatre box office (227 West 42nd Street) or Laura Pels Theatre Box office (111 West 46th Street).
