Entremont is also the conductor laureate of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and the Israel Chamber Orchestra, founding artistic director of the Santo Domingo Music Festival, and principal guest conductor of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. He will retain all four posts.
Founded in 1945 as the Graunke Symphony Orchestra, the MSO is one of three orchestras in the Bavarian capital. It has recorded many important film scores, in Germany as well as abroad.
According to Musical America, Entremont will lead the MSO on a tour of the United States in fall 2005.
