As previously announced, the Muny season will kick off June 16-22 with the Tony-winning Mel Brooks musical The Producers. The musical based on the Brooks film of the same name will feature Lewis J. Stadlen as Max Bialystock, Don Stephenson as Leo Bloom, Anthony Cummings as Franz Liebkind, Larry Raben as Carmen Ghia, Lee Roy Reams as Roger DeBris and Angie Schworer as Ulla.
Initial casting for the Muny's other summer offerings has also been revealed.
High School Musical, which plays June 23-July 2, will feature Colin Donnel as Troy, Gretchen Bieber as Sharpay, Brandon Bieber as Ryan and Andrea Goss as Gabriella. The classic Lerner and Loewe musical My Fair Lady, running July 7-13, will include Catherine Brunell as Eliza Doolittle, Joneal Joplin as Colonel Pickering, Robert Westenberg as Henry Higgins and Daniel Reichard as Freddy Eynsford-Hill.
90 Years of Muny Magic, which will take audiences "on a musical journey from grand opera and operettas to rock musicals," will feature the talents of James Clow, Michel Bell, Bruce Adler, Dirk Lumbard, Leslie Denniston, Beth Leavel, Betsy Wolfe and Ken Page. The revue celebrating the 90th season of the outdoor venue will be presented July 14-20.
Francis Jue (The Engineer), Ma-Anne Dionisio (Kim) and Eric Kunze (Chris) will head the cast of Boublil and Schönberg's Miss Saigon, which runs July 21-27, and the cast of My One and Only, playing July 28-Aug. 3, will include Dirk Lumbard as Captain Chandler, Julyana Soelistyo as Mickey, Jeff McCarthy as Prince Nicolai and Ken Page as Reverend Montgomery. The Muny season will conclude with Bock and Harnick's Fiddler on the Roof, playing Aug. 4-10 at the Muny. The cast will be led by Bruce Adler as Tevye and Leslie Denniston as Golde.
