On Nov. 6 the weekly series will pay tribute to Beechman, the singing actress who was perhaps best known for her lengthy stint as Grizabella in the Broadway run of Cats and her powerful version of that show's anthem, "Memory." The radio broadcast, which airs 9-11 PM, will feature Beechman's renditions of "As If We Never Said Goodbye," "A House Is Not a Home," "If We Only Have Love," "There But for You Go I" and "Memory." The Nov. 27 program will salute the late LaMott, who may have been the finest singer the cabaret world produced in the past few decades. LaMott's recordings include "Beautiful Baby," "Come Rain or Come Shine: The Songs of Johnny Mercer," "My Foolish Heart" and "Listen to My Heart" as well as the posthumously released What's Good About Goodbye?" and "Nancy LaMott—Live at Tavern on the Green."

LaMott died of cancer in 1995 at the age of 43. Beechman lost her battle with cancer in 1997; she was also 43.
