A host of Broadway favorites will be heard on the upcoming studio recording of Brownstone, the 1986 Off-Broadway musical, for Original Cast Records. Liz Callaway, who starred in the show's Off-Broadway production, heads a cast that includes Brian d'Arcy James, recently of Sweet Smell of Success; The Secret Garden's Rebecca Luker; Tony Award winner Debbie (Jerome Robbins' Broadway) Gravitte; and Kevin Reed. A spokesperson for Original Cast Records said that the company is aiming for a February 2003 release.

Brownstone, which was created by Andrew Cadiff, Josh Rubins and Peter Larson, opened at Off-Broadway's Union Square Theatre on Oct. 8, 1986, where it played 69 performances before closing Dec. 6, 1986. Directed by Cadiff with musical staging by Don Bondi, the original cast featured Callaway, Kimberly Farr, Ben Harney, Ernestine Jackson and Rex Smith.

Original Cast Records preserves the "best in rare Broadway and cabaret." Upcoming recordings include two with recent Amour star Melissa Errico: Anna Karenina and Sadie Thompson. For more information, go to originalcastrecords.com.
