News NAMT Musicals to Feature Ebersole, Eder, Porter, DeLaria, Nouri, Moses, Molaskey and More Several of Broadway's finest performers will take part in the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's 16th Annual Festival of New Musicals, Oct. 3 and 4 at Dodger Stages.

The two-day, industry-only NAMT event will feature eight new musicals: Camille Claudel, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Flight of the Lawnchair Man, The Girl in the Frame, A Good Man, Langston in Harlem, Striking 12: The Groovelily Holiday Show and Winesburg, Ohio.

Gabrielle Barre will direct Camille Claudel, the new musical by Frank Wildhorn (music) and Nan Knighton (book and lyrics) that was recently presented at Goodspeed. The NAMT cast includes Linda Eder, Michael Nouri, Matt Bogart, John Paul Almon, Leslie Becker, Timothy W. Bish, Nick Cavarra, Margaret Ann Gates, Mayumi Miguel, Lynette Marrero, Darren Ritchie, Tina Stafford and Shonn Wiley.

The Drowsy Chaperone — music by Greg Morrison, book by Don McKellar and Bob Martin and lyrics by Lisa Lambert — will feature Lea DeLaria, Christine Ebersole, Georgia Engel, Richard Kind, Patrick Garner, Christopher Sieber, Beth Beyer, Danny Burstein, Robert DuSold, Paul Kandel, Bob Martin, Reno Roop and Robert Tunstall. Bob Martin directs.

Jessica Molaskey, Burke Moses, Valerie Wright, Donna-Lynn Champlin, Bob Ader, Fred Berman, Roxanne Carasco, Herndon Lackey, Rachel Ulanet and Bill Youmans will head the cast of The Flight of the Lawnchair Man. Lynne Taylor-Corbett will direct the musical conceived by Robert Lindsey Nassif (score) and Peter Ullian (book).

Directed by Marc A Bruni, the cast for The Girl in the Frame includes Melissa Dye, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Jonathan Rayson and Graham Rowat. The musical features music, book and lyrics by Jeremy Desmon. Ray Leslee (music) and Philip S. Goodman's (book and lyrics) A Good Man will be directed by John Ruocco. The cast comprises Milton Craig Nealy, Cheryl Alexander, Sandra Bonitto, Wayne Pretlow and Derek Middleton.

With a book by Kent Gash, Langston Hughes and Walter Marks, music by Marks and lyrics by Hughes, Langston in Harlem will be directed by Kent Gash. The company features Billy Porter, Darius De Haas, Danielle Lee Greaves, Jerry Dixon, Raul Midon, John Eric Parker, Brandy Massey and Soara Joye-Ross.

Members of the band Groovelily — Valerie Vigoda, Brendan Milburn and Gene Lewin — will perform Striking 12: The Groovelily Holiday Show. Ted Sperling directs the musical with music, lyrics and book by Rachel Sheinklin, Milburn and Vigoda.

Recently nominated for five Joseph Jefferson Awards in Chicago, Winesburg, Ohio features music by Andre Pluess and Ben Sussman, book and lyrics by Eric Rosen with additional lyrics by Pluess and Sussman. Eric Rosen will direct a cast that includes Ken Barnett, Joe Dempsey, Mary Ernster, Johanna McKenzie-Miller, Matthew Lon Walker, Ryan Gardner, Jeff Parker, Lesley Bevan, David Bryson, Erica Elam, Jeff Dumas, Tom Murray, Chris Walz, Emily Albright, Chris Merrill and Ben Sussman.

The festival will also include a Songwriter Showcase Sunday evening, featuring additional musical theatre writers. Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz will host that evening.
