Fresh from the Broadway revival of Sunset Boulevard (in which she understudied Glenn Close), Nancy Anderson will make her Feinstein’s/54 Below debut July 5 with Ten Cents a Dance, her concert of standards by Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin, and others.
The 7 PM concert at the Manhattan cabaret promises to “take you back to a time when speakeasies were born and jazz was king.”
Anderson, a multiple Drama Desk Award nominee, has appeared in Broadway shows including A Class Act, Wonderful Town, and Sunset Boulevard, and is a regular at the Broadway by the Year concert series at Town Hall in New York. Ten Cents a Dance is being produced for Feinstein's/54 Below by Broadway by the Year creator, Scott Siegel.
Anderson has performed versions of the show previously at Birdland and other nightclubs. Ten Cents a Dance was recorded and released in 2006. She will be accompanied at this performance by Ross Patterson and his band.
Tickets, at $35–$75, plus $25 food and beverage minimum, can be ordered online here, or by calling (646) 476-3551. Feinstein's/54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street.
