The 6 PM concert will feature the composer as well as Mykal Kilgore (Hair), Natascia Diaz (Carousel) and cellist Mairi Dorman-Phanuef (Wonderland). Alan will offer songs and stories about the creation of his songs.

On July 20 Alan will make his concert debut in Germany at the Hamburger Kammerspiele in Hamburg. The composer will be joined by Wicked’s Willemijn Verkaik, who will sing through Alan's songbook in both English and German. Scott Alan wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour, which was seen in Los Angeles. His current theatre projects include Piece, which was featured at the 2003 Palo Alto TheatreWorks festival, the 2005 NAMT festival and the 2007 Festival of New Musicals at Village Theatre; and the song cycle The Warmth of the Womb.
