News National Actors Theatre's Right You Are Opens Dec. 7
A new family in a small town. Puzzling relationships. Gossipy neighbors. Those are the subjects addressed in Luigi Pirandello's Right You Are, which officially opens Dec. 7.

Right You Are, which began previews Nov. 25, marks the 20th production for the National Actors Theatre, founded in 1991 by Tony Randall. The cast of Pirandello's philosophical comedy — at Pace University's Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts — includes company founder Randall as well as Yolande Bavan, Brennan Brown, Fred Burrell, Edmund C. Davys, Mireille Enos, Herb Foster, Penny Fuller, Peter Ganim, Tom Gualitieri, Jurian Hughes, Addie Johnson, Florencia Lozano, Peter Maloney, Natalie Norwick, Henry Strozier and Maria Tucci.

Featuring a translation by Eric Bentley, the eminent Pirandello scholar, the creative team comprises Fabrizio Melano (direction), James Noone (sets), Kirk Bookman (lighting), Noel Taylor (costumes), Richard Fitzgerald (sound) and Paul Huntley (hair and wig design). The production is scheduled to run through Dec. 21.

Right You Are concerns a family whose arrival in a small town causes much gossip and speculation. The more the town folk try to get to the bottom of the mysterious relationahip between a mother, her daughter and her son-in-law, the less they seem to understand. Pirandello's other plays include Man, Beast and Virtue; The Mountain Giants; Naked; The Rules of the Game; and Six Characters in Search of an Author.

The National Actors Theatre most recently presented Ellen McLaughlin's new version of Aeschylus' The Persians, May 24-June 10, 2003. Prior to that the theatre offered Al Pacino in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Oct. 3-Nov. 10, 2002.

Pace University's Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts is located on Spruce Street between Park Row and Gold Street. Right You Are will play Tuesday-Saturday evenings at 8 PM with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM. Tickets, priced at $60, are available by calling (212) 239-6200. Student seats are priced at $15 and are available only at the theatre's box office in cash with a valid I.D.
