News Negro Ensemble Company to Present Charles Strouse-Leslie Lee Musical, Martin The Negro Ensemble Company will present a showcase of the musical Martin, about the late Martin Luther King, Jr., in October at the Kraine Theater, according to the company's official website and an Equity casting notice.

The musical features music and lyrics by Charles Strouse and a book by Leslie Lee. Jeffrey B. Moss will direct with musical direction by Skip Brevis.

Martin, according to the Negro Ensemble Company, is described as a "musical about Martin Luther King, Jr. and his faltering journey from defiant 'in your face' teenager to leader of an improbable nonviolent bus boycott which ultimately set the tone for the civil rights movement."

Casting has yet to be announced.
