News Neil LaBute's In a Dark Dark House Will Mark Reopening of Brooklyn Theatre Company The Charlie Pineapple Theatre Company in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, will reopen after a four-year hiatus later this fall.

The company will relaunch with Neil LaBute's In a Dark Dark House, which will begin performances Oct. 21 at the Beckmann Theatre at American Theatre for Actors and continue through Oct. 30. Show times will be Thursday-Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 2 PM.

The production will then run at the company's new Williamsburg space, The Charlie Pineapple Theatre, from Nov. 4-13 with the same performance schedule.

The cast for both productions includes Mark VanDerBeets as Terry, Dan Colman as Drew and Juliet Coffey as Jennifer. Sarah VanDerBeets will direct.

In a Dark Dark House, according to previous press notes, is described thusly: "On the grounds of a private psychiatric facility, two family members find themselves brought face to face with each other's involvement in their traumatic past. In court-ordered rehab, Drew calls on his brother, Terry, to corroborate his story of abuse. Drew's request releases barely-hidden animosities between the two; is he using these repressed memories to save himself while smearing the name of his brother's friend and mentor? In Neil LaBute's powerful new play, these siblings must struggle to come to grips with their troubled legacy, both inside and outside their dark family home."

The Beckmann Theatre at American Theatre for Actors is located at 314 West 54th Street. The Charlie Pineapple Theatre is at 112 S. First Street. For tickets visit www.brownpapertickets.com.
