News Neil Patrick Harris, David Hyde Pierce and Doug Savant Set for L.A. Ovation Awards Stage and screen star Neil Patrick Harris will host the 2006 Ovation Awards. Presenters will include David Hyde Pierce, Doug Savant, Amy Brenneman, Sam Harris, Matt McGrath and Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard, among others.

The honors will be presented by the L.A. Stage Alliance at a Nov. 13 ceremony to be held at the Orpheum Theatre on Broadway in the downtown Los Angeles historic theatre district. The peer-judged Ovation Awards, established in 1989, honor "artistic excellence of L.A.'s theatres and theatre artists, and their continuing contribution to the vibrant cultural scene."

Also slated to present are Culture Clash, Amy Hill, Emily Kuroda, Patrick Bristow, Karen Constine and David Galligan.

Composer Jerry Herman will receive a Career Achievement honor. California Institute of the Arts Community Arts Partnership (CAP) will receive the Community Outreach Award.
