Classic Arts News New Albums from Herbie Hancock and Sonny Rollins Debut on Billboard Jazz Charts Herbie Hancock's Possibilities made its first appearance on the Billboard contemporary-jazz chart this week at number one.
The latest album from the legendary pianist blends pop and jazz, and features guest appearances from Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, Christina Aguilera, and other pop musicians.

Also new to the contemporary chart were saxophonist Euge Groove's Just Feels Right at number three, keyboardist Gregg Karukas's Looking Up at number 16, and saxophonist Warren Hill's PopJazz at number 17. Najee's My Point of View, which debuted at number one last week, dropped down to number two; Brian Clumbertson's It's On Tonight, which preceded My Point of View in the number-one spot, fell to number four in its sixth week on the chart.

The jazz chart also includes a new album from one of jazz's elder statesmen: Sonny Rollins' Without a Song, a live album recorded days after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, debuted at number five.

Michael Bubl_'s It's Time remained at number one.

Also new to the chart were trumpeter Wynton Marsalis's Live at the House of Tribes at number nine and bassist Charlie Haden's Not in Our Name at number 13.
