Expect more Jerry Herman show music than previous La Cage recordings have offered. PS Classics co-founder and album producer Tommy Krasker told Playbill.com, "We've included a lot of the encores, playoffs and reprises that are so much a part of the show, with the aim of capturing that marvelous 'bird's eye' view of the club that exists in the theatre. We think fans of the show — and fans of this production — will be pleased. It's a very full disc, and a real Jerry Herman feast, which I'm especially pleased about."

The CD package includes a 28-page booklet with complete lyrics, a new essay by Harvey Fierstein, synopsis and stunning production photographs.
