Fans of Broadway and movie musicals can hear arcana and alternate lyrics of show tunes in "Sammy Sings Fain...Again," another CD in the Songwriter Series released by Koch International Classics. The disc was released in stores in June and is a follow-up to 1999 "Sammy Sings Fain" album. The series draws from private demos, recorded radio appearances and non-commercial recordings of material for film, TV, shows and other media, with the songwriter(s) singing their own work.

Fain was born in 1902, making 2002 his 100th year. He may be best known for penning music to "I'll Be Seeing You," "Love is a Many Splendored Thing" and "Secret Love." He was mainly a pop and film song writer, contributing to Hollywood's "Calamity Jane," "Alice in Wonderland" and more.

His stage shows included Right This Way (which offered "I Can Dream, Can't I?" and "I'll Be Seeing You"), Hellzapoppin' and Sons of Fun. He penned music to Yip Harburg's lyrics for the Broadway musical, Flahooley.

His melodies won him 10 Academy Award nominations and two Oscars.

The new disc, produced by Steve Nelson, includes "You Brought a New Kind of Love to Me," "That Man Could Sell Me the Brooklyn Bridge," "Who Says There Ain't No Santa Claus?," "That Old Feeling," "He's Only Wonderful," "Here's to Your Illusions," "I'll Be Seeing You," "A Woman's Touch," "I Theenk You Weenk," "The Jews Have Got Their Irish Up," "The Dickey Bird Song," "You Haven't Lived Until You've Died in L.A.," "Very Good Advice," "Beyond the Laughing Sky," "Every Day," "Where Has the Rainbow Gone?," "Standard Oil Jingle," "There's a Rising Moon for Every Falling Star," "Oley's Melody," "Way Down in Arkansas," "That Element of Doubt," "Merrily On My Way," "The Snowman's Got a Sweetheart" and more.
