Cloaked, a psychological thriller about an online connection, was first developed in a reading as part of the 2010 Festival of New Musicals. The work subsequently earned the Kleban Prize and Jonathan Larson Award.

Larsen authored music and co-lyrics, with Elliot as book writer and co-lyricist. Kathryn Van Meter will direct the Aug. 12-21 developmental production. Van Meter also staged the 2010 reading.

Cloaked will be the inaugural production on the Village's newly reconstructed First Stage Theatre in Issaquah.

According to the Village, "In this tantalizing tale, two people venture into the wilderness of the internet in search of a human connection—but what happens when reason falls away and you lose yourself in the fantasy? This potent new musical reveals the hidden desires and darkness of the human heart and the all-consuming-power they can hold. With a modern, innovative score that blends computerized tones and haunting melodies, this spine-tingling psychological thriller is both alluring and suspenseful."

The cast will include Fran King, CT Doescher, Auston James, Meaghan Foy, Mara Solar, Alison Monda, Adam Somers, James Padilla, Lindsey Hedberg, Dan Connor, Brian Lange and Matt Wade.

The creative team includes music director Orlando Morales, lighting designer Alex Berry and scenic designer Steven Capone.
