News New Jason Robert Brown Musical The Connector Will Likely Debut in Chicago The newest work from Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, most recently represented on Broadway with the kid-friendly musical 13, will likely make its debut in Chicago.

The Chicago Tribune reports that composer Brown's new musical, entitled The Connector, will bow at Chicago's Northlight Theatre toward the end of the 2011-12 season.

BJ Jones, the artistic director of Northlight, told the Chicago paper, "We are putting the finishing touches on our agreement...This is a long and fruitful relationship."

Daisy Prince will direct the production, which, according to the Tribune, "is about journalism, the lack of integrity that afflicts the media in the current age, and the advent of reporters who make up news."

Brown won a Tony Award for his score to Parade. His two-character musical The Last Five Years also premiered at the Northlight.
