News New Musical Falling for Eve to Begin York Theatre Company Run in July Falling for Eve, a new musical by Joe DiPietro, Brett Simmons and David Howard, will begin performances at Off-Broadway's York Theatre Company July 6.

Performances will continue through Aug. 8. Larry Raben will direct.

Memphis' DiPietro authored the book to the musical (once called Me & Eve) that has a score by Brett Simmons (music) and David Howard (lyrics). The six-person, multicultural musical is a re-telling of the Adam and Eve story.

Falling for Eve, according to the York website, "offers an enchanting second look at the world's first love story. Creation is going perfectly. Eve, curious about what lies beyond the Garden of Eden, and obsessed with the notion that something is forbidden, bites the infamous apple. Then Adam doesn't. How exactly they'll get together to create the human race is anybody's guess."

Casting will be announced at a later date.

Tickets are now available by calling (212) 935-5820 or by visiting www.yorktheatre.org. All performances will be at the company's home at The Theatre at Saint Peter's (54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
