News New Plays by Jason Grote, Samuel D. Hunter, Anne Washburn Surface in Woolly Mammoth Season Woolly Mammoth Theatre, the Washington, DC, company devoted to contemporary voices, announced a 2011-12 season that includes three world premieres.

Playwrights represented in the 32nd season include Samuel D. Hunter (a DC premiere), Jason Grote (a world premiere) and Anne Washburn (a world premiere). Collaborators Basil Twist and Joey Arias are also on the slate, as is a world-premiere holiday collaboration with The Second City.

Artistic director Howard Shalwitz announced the subscription season on April 4. The Woolly Mammoth subscription season includes:
