News New Pro-Theatre Special Interest Group Reaches UK Parliament A new theatre pressure group is being set up in the House of Commons. A new cross-party group is to be established in the House of Commons, with the sole aim of promoting the interests of theatre. The group is headed by Labour MP Ann Keen, and its work has been welcomed by an Equity spokesman who said "We think it's a wonderful recognition of the importance of theatre culturally and economically." Meetings to decide the make-up and methods of the group will take place in October, it is believed.
