News   New Solo Recording from MAC Winner Lee Lessack Due in August; Track Listing Announced
MAC and Bistro Award winner Lee Lessack's latest solo recording, which is entitled "Chanteur," will be released Aug. 9 on the LML Music label.

The CD was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Lessack and Tony nominee Brian Lane Green, who conceived and directed the project.

The CD repertoire, according to press notes, takes the "listener from the streets of Paris to the Broadway stage, with influences and inspirations from Aznavour and Sinatra to Leonard Cohen." Lessack is supported on the recording by the arrangements of longtime collaborator/pianist John Boswell along with David Boswell on guitar and Daniel Fabricant on bass.

On Oct. 7 Lessack will team with Amanda McBroom in "Chansons d’amour: An Homage to the Great French Songbook (from an American Perspective)" at the Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood, CA.

Lee Lessack has performed in cabarets and concert halls throughout the country. His recordings include the MAC and Bistro Award-winning "In Good Company" — a series of duets with Michael Feinstein, Ann Hampton Callaway, Maureen McGovern and Susan Egan, among others — as well as "Lee Lessack," "I Know You By Heart," "Too Marvelous for Words" and "An Enchanted Evening: the Music of Broadway."
