News New Voices Series Continues with Stars of Wicked, Hairspray and Spamalot The Monday Nights, New Voices series will continue in April with two nights at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

The series, created to spotlight lesser-known talents working in the city, will offer an evening of Broadway duets April 4. Produced by Scott Alan and Sabrina Gordin, the 9:30 PM concert will feature the talents of Aida's Lori Ann Strunk, Bare's Natalie Joy Johnson and Spamalot's Greg Reuter as well as Michael Hammerstrom, Michael Minirak and Erin Hiatt. Jesse Vargas will be the evening's musical director. The April 18 evening will celebrate the talents of Christy Faber, Courtney Balan, Hairspray's Rashad Naylor, Sarah, Plain and Tall's Becca Ayers and Wicked's Marty Thomas. Those up-n-coming performers will be introduced by Shoshana Bean, Barrett Foa and Lisa Brescia. Composers Andrew Lippa and Eli Bolin will also be on hand to perform tunes from their respective songbooks. Directed by Schele Williams, the 9:30 PM concert will also feature musical direction by Jesse Vargas.

The Duplex is located in Manhattan at 61 Christopher Street. There is a $10 cover charge and a two-drink minimum; call (212) 255-5438 for reservations.
