Classic Arts News New York International Ballet Competition Accepting Applications for 2005 The New York International Ballet Competition, which takes place at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in June 2005, is accepting applications through January 17.
The competition is open to women between 17 and 23 and men between 18 and 24. Finalists will travel to New York for two weeks of preparation and a week of performance and competition ending on June 26.

The NYIBC was founded by Ilona Copen in 1983 and has been held seven times since. Past winners include Gillian Murphy and Jos_ Manuel Carr_no of American Ballet Theatre, Victoria Mazzarelli of the Zurich Ballet, and Maximiliano Guerra of La Scala.
