The 2005 New York Philharmonic Time Warner Concerts in the Parks run through July 19. In addition to Prospect Park, they take place in Manhattan's Central Park; Queens' Cunningham Park; Van Cortland Park in the Bronx; Heckscher State Park in East Islip, Long Island; Snug Harbor on Staten Island; and PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.

New York Philharmonic assistant conductor Xian Zhang—who was recently promoted to associate conductor—will conduct all of the concerts except for the final concert on July 19 in Central Park, which will be led by music director Lorin Maazel.

A program featuring Wagner's Der fliegende Holl‹nder Overture, Lalo's Symphonie espagnole, and Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony will be heard in all of the locations except for Snug Harbor, where an ensemble of brass players from the orchestra will perform. At the July 19 concert in Central Park, the Philharmonic will perform an all-Dvoršk program featuring the Carnival Overture, Symphony No. 9 ("From the New World"), and the Cello Concerto, with Lynn Harrell as soloist.
