News   Nikki M. James, Jenn Harris Will Join Stacy Layne Matthews on The HoMo'Nique Show
Tony Award winner Nikki M. James (The Book of Mormon) and Jenn Harris, star of Off-Broadway's Silence! The Musical, are set to make appearances on The HoMo'Nique Show, a live talk-show parody, beginning July 29 at The Laurie Beechman Theater.

In The HoMo'Nique Show, which will run through July 31, "Oscar winner and acclaimed comedian Mo'Nique—as embodied by 'RuPaul's Drag Race' sensation Stacy Layne Matthews—comes to NYC to tape a gay version of her popular B.E.T. talk show for the very low budget G.E.T. (the fictional Gay Entertainment Television)."

Matthews, who recently made her Off-Broadway debut in My Big Gay Italian Wedding, will host the 7:30 PM performances as Mo'Nique, and each night she will be joined by a different roster of gay-positive icons and performers.

The first performance of The HoMo'Nique Show features appearances from "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Carmen Carerra; Tommy Femia, who will portray Judy Garland; transgender icon and recording artist Amanda Lepore; and Randy Jones, the original cowboy from The Village People.

At the July 30 performance, Mo'Nique will be joined by Village Voice columnist Michael Musto; author Justin Luke ("Gulliver Travels"); "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Mimi Imfurst, who will portray Cher; and Dorothy Bishop, who will portray Sarah Palin.

James and Harris will appear at the final performance of The HoMo'Nique Show, July 31. The theatre stars will be joined by singer-songwriter Colton Ford and Stacy Layne Matthews, via satellite from Back Swamp, NC. The Laurie Beechman Theater is located inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. For more information and tickets, call (212) 352-3101 or visit
