In the immortal words of Tim Rice, "like father, like son." Nikolai Kinski, son of actor Klaus Kinski, grew up watching dad play Dracula on screen in his most famous movie, the 1979 remake of F.W. Murnau's silent movie classic, "Nosferatu." Now Nikolai is carrying the grand old family tradition, donning a cape and false teeth for Nosferatu, the Telluride Repertory Theatre Company's new Off-Broadway production, which plays HERE, May 25-June 11.

Also based on the Murnau film, Nosferatu is adapted for the stage by French-Italian director Rene Migliaccio, who will employ a cast of 24. The production is described as having an "expressionistic-realism" acting style and a scenic design made up of "shadow and light" and works by 18th and 19th century painters.

The creative team included set and costume designer Francois Tomsu, lighting designer Stephanie Johnson, and Japanese make-up artist Reiko Kruk, who also painted Kinski père's face back in 1979.

Nosferatu features an original score of techno, ambient and classical music by French composers Amaury Groc, Toidoi and Beru and a set design based in shadow and light and accented by the art work of Casper Friedrich and other 18th and 19th Century romantic painters.
