News Nine Composer Yeston and Our Lady Pen Guirgis Guest on "Theater Talk," April 18 Maury Yeston, composer-lyricist of the current revival of Nine, and Stephen Adly Guirgis, playwright of Our Lady of 121st Street, will guest on this week's "Theater Talk." Maury Yeston

Yeston won the Best Score Tony Award for Nine in 1982 and then again in 1997b for Titanic. His other works include Phantom and contributions to the score of Grand Hotel. The award-winning songwriter will speak about the creation of the musical based on Federico Fellini's film "8 1/2" as well as the current restaging.

The Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Yeston's Nine opened April 10 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. The revival, directed by David Leveaux, stars Antonio Banderas as well as Chita Rivera, Laura Benanti, Jane Krakowski and Mary Stuart Masterson.

Guirgis has garnered notice for his plays In Arabia, We'd All Be Kings as well as Jesus Hopped the A Train. The playwright's current work, Our Lady of 121st Street, plays Off-Broadway at the Union Square Theatre under the direction of constant collaborator Philip Seymour Hoffman.

"Theater Talk" is hosted by Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins. The half-hour show airs late Friday nights at midnight on WNET/Thirteen. Check local listings for air times in Boston, Hartford and Washington, D.C. For more information, visit www.theatertalk.org.
