News Nine's Shaddow to Sing Yeston's December Songs Elena Shaddow, who played Renata in the Tony-winning revival of Nine, will perform Maury Yeston's December Songs next month.

Shaddow will offer the Yeston song cycle Aug. 8 at Manhattan's The Encore. The 7 PM performance will feature direction by Michael Harrington and musical direction by Bryan Perri. Originally commissioned by Carnegie Hall for cabaret singer Andrea Marcovicci, Yeston's December Songs was inspired by Schubert's "Winter Journey." Song titles include "December Snow," "Where Are You Now," "Please Let's Not Even Say Hello," "When Your Love Is New," "Bookseller in the Rain," "My Grandmother's Love Letters," "I Am Longing," "I Had a Dream About You," "By the River" and "What a Relief."

Elena Shaddow has been seen on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, Nine, Sweet Smell of Success and Les Misérables and Off-Broadway in Water Coolers. Maury Yeston is the award-winning composer of Nine, Phantom and Titanic.
