News NY Neo-Futurists Will Stage The Complete & Condensed Stage Directions of Eugene O'Neill; Casting Announced New York Neo-Futurists, creators of the long-running phenomenon Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, will present the world premiere of The Complete & Condensed Stage Directions of Eugene O'Neill, Volume 1: Early Plays/Lost Plays, beginning Sept. 8 at the Kraine Theatre.

The production, adapted and directed by Christopher Loar, will run through Oct. 1. The cast includes Daniel Burnam, Brendan Donaldson, Cara Francis, Connor Kalista, Jacquelyn Landgraf, Erica Livingston and Lauren Sharpe.

O'Neill's stage directions were once confined only to heated discussions amongst doctoral students. In Volume 1: Early Plays/Lost Plays, according to press notes, "the New York Neo-Futurists unleash O'Neill's stage directions from their dissertation prison, transforming O'Neill's eloquent yet obsessive and often controlling stage directions into rip-roaring physical comedy."

Volume 1: Early Plays/Lost Plays is the first in a series that chronicles O'Neill's early stage directions from 1913-1917 and feature two of his "sea plays," including Bound East for Cardiff, as well as more obscure early works such as his first play, the one-act A Wife for a Life, and his cynical comedy The Movie Man.

Other members of the creative team include set and props designer Cara Francis, sound designer Christopher Loar and lighting designer/production stage manager Christine Cullen.

The Kraine Theatre is located at 85 East 4th Street, between 2nd Avenue and Bowery. For more information and tickets, call (866) 811-4111 or visit www.nynf.org.
