The International WOW Company, which includes artist from Thailand, Taiwan, Pakistan, Australia, Indonesia, Canada, Japan, and the U. S., will be showing their adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, in the NYC Fringe Festival, Aug. 21-29.

In WOW's version, Alice's Evidence, Wonderland is a vastly dangerous landscape of slamming doors, ticking clocks and intensive physicality. Evidence transforms traditionally popular characters like the White Rabbit and the Caterpillar into strange pedophiles and hypochondriacs -- a far cry from the popular Disney cartoon.

Alice's Evidence is adapted and directed by Ellen Beckerman, and will play at the Harry De Jur Theatre. For more information call (212) 420-8877; for tickets call (888) FringeNYC.
