I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, the smash Off-Broadway musical about dating and romance, will offer a series of special November performances featuring best-selling authors of books devoted to relationships and their highs and lows.
The authors will be available in the lobby before the Tuesday evening shows and at intermission, when free champagne will be served at the Westside Theatre. The audience will be invited to speak to the fiction and non fiction writers, and books will be available for sale.
The lineup includes:
Nov. 5: Ariella Papa, author of "On the Verge," about 23-year old Eve Vitali on the verge of something — "whether it be a relationship, the fabulous life that she reads about in the Styles section of The New York Times, or a nervous breakdown."
Nov. 12: Lucinda Rosenfeld, author of "What She Saw...," in which "Phoebe Fine trudges defiantly through guyland, armed with a tart tongue, and propelled by an insatiable desire to be loved."Nov. 19: Alon Gratch, PhD, "brilliantly illuminates the reasons why men think and act the way they do" with "If Men Could Talk: Here's What They'd Say." I Love You, You're Perfect, the musical of sketches and songs about relationships, by Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts, is in its seventh year at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street) and has played in more than 20 cities worldwide. A new staging opened in Chicago Oct. 22.
