News   NYMF to Screen New Movie Musical "Clear Blue Tuesday"; Somers, Naughton, Hill Star
The new movie musical "Clear Blue Tuesday" will be screened in September as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Created by filmmaker Elizabeth Lucas, the world-premiere screenings will take place at the School of Visual Arts on Sept. 10.

Developed with an ensemble of 11 principal actors, the film incorporates original songs into its unconventional narrative that utilizes both personal and improvised stories.

Principal casting includes Asa Somers, Becca Ayers, Brother Love, Cassandra Kubinski, Erin Hill, Greg Naughton, Jan O'Dell, Jeremy Schonfeld, Julie Danao-Salkin, Robert Hager and Vedant Gokhale.

Additional Broadway performers involved include Tony winner James Naughton, three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara, as well as Julia Murney, Christopher J. Hanke, Christian Campbell, Al Parinello, Chris Anderson, Chris Orbach, Hollis Scarborough, Marsha Lawson, Mary Ellen Ashley, Patricia Mikes, Ramona Keller and Samantha Stockwell.

Press notes for the film read: "Eleven New Yorkers change course after catastrophic events force them to examine why they moved to New York and to decide whether they'll stay. 'Clear Blue Tuesday' follows their lives over the course of six years, each year on a Tuesday in September, as they pursue the dreams that drew them to the city." "Clear Blue Tuesday" is executive produced by Al Parinello, Joel Ehrlich and Phyllis Ehrlich. Producers are Elizabeth Lucas, Alexander Hammer, Daniel Wallace, Trish Whitehust and associate producer Julie Miller.
