NY's Present Company will revive their production of The Paper Man, written and directed by John Clancy, April 16-May 9, at The Company's vast Lower East Side space, The Theatorium (198 Stanton Street). Paper Man initially premiered in the company's smaller midtown space on 45th Street.

When Jake, a mid-level manager is fired from a Manhattan firm, he takes to the streets and becomes infected with enchantment towards the darker side of the city he once knew. The play, performed in fifty rapid-fire scenes, explores racism, financial security and the rhetoric of corporate landscapes used to disguise the ugliness of life.

This is the fifth self-produced production in its new home for The Present Company, best known as producers of the New York Fringe Festival. The Present Company Theatorium is the recently opened multi-arts performing center located on the Lower East Side. The Theatorium operates both as a performance venue and a resource center for emerging artists. Inspired by the turn of the century buildings of the same name, The Present Company Theatorium is dedicated to provide constant eclectic popular entertainment and serve as a staging ground for the new forms and media of the next generation of theatre artists.
