The Roundabout Theatre Company will present the New York premiere of Richard Greenberg's new play, Hurrah at Last , at the Gramercy Theatre, May 13-August 29, with an official opening on June 3.

As with the play's May 1998 premiere at South Coast Repertory, David Warren will direct Greenberg regular Peter Frechette (Eastern Standard, Night and Her Stars). Along with Frechette, the Roundabout production will star Judith Blazer (Titanic), Ileen Getz, Dori Brenner, Larry Keith, Kevin O'Rourke and Paul Michael Valley. Blazer and Getz also played in the South Coast Rep production.

Hurrah at Last is set on Christmas Eve in a posh Manhattan loft and has been described as a play that "demonstrates how we manage to avoid homicides with our families over a holiday period."

The design team includes: Neil Patel (sets), Candice Donnelly (costumes), Peter Maradudin (lighting), Joh Gromada (sound) and Paul Huntley (hair and wigs).

New York-based Greenberg, is the author of numerous plays including Eastern Standard, Night and Her Stars, and Three Days of Rain -- which also had its world premiere (in 1997) at South Coast Rep and went on to an acclaimed run at the Manhattan Theatre Club. Hurrah's director, Warren, staged Greenberg's Night and Her Stars and more recently directed Misalliance at NY's Roundabout Theatre and the world premiere of Barry Manilow's Harmony at the La Jolla Playhouse in CA.
