In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, WNET Channel 13 will broadcast the Irish Repertory production of The Irish...And How They Got That Way Mar. 16, 8-10 PM.

Featured in the production are original cast members Terry Donnelly, Marian Thomas-Griffin, Ciaran O'Reilly, Ciaran Sheehan (currently Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera), Rusty Magee and Bob Green.

The story of the Irish experience both in Ireland and especially America, The Irish... uses traditional and popular music to explain what it means to be Irish. Songs include "Galway Bay," "No Irish Need Apply," "Give My Regards to Broadway," "Danny Boy," "Finnegan's Wake," "Who Threw the Overall in Mrs. Murphy's Chowder?" and "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."

A part of WNET's fund-raising schedule for March, The Irish...'s intermission brings Frank McCourt into the WNET studio as a featured guest. The original Irish Rep cast will also be on hand to take viewer pledges.

Other St. Patrick's Day viewing on WNET 13 includes Michael Flatley's Feet of Flames (Mar. 13 and 17) and the Irish Tenors (Mar. 14). The Irish and How They Got That Way will be rebroadcast Mar. 13 at 1:30 PM.
