Oct. 31: Blending African beats and a world pop score, Second Stage presents the new Diane Paulus-helmed musical Invisible Thread. The story follows the life-changing journey of a young New Yorker who volunteers for an aid project in Uganda. 

 

OPENING:

Oct. 29: Academy and Golden Globe nominee Keira Knightley makes her Broadway debut starring as the title character in the Roundabout Theatre revival of Thérèse Raquin, a new adaptation of the classic Émile Zola novel. The "Love Actually" actress is joined by Tony winner Gabriel Ebert and two-time Tony winner Judith LightOct. 30: Kevin Bacon stars in Hartford Stage's sold-out world premiere of Rear Window, based on the same short story - "Rear Window" by Cornell Woolrich - that inspired the Oscar-nominated Alfred Hitchcock film. The production is helmed by the theatre's Tony Award-winning artistic director, Darko Tresnjak

Nov. 1: Straight from an acclaimed London run, the Olivier Award-winning King Charles III imagines a future in which Britain's current Queen Elizabeth II has passed away and her son has assumed the throne. 

Nov. 3: Funnyman Bob Saget, best known for playing Danny Tanner on the TV series "Full House," returns to Broadway as Pastor Greg in the Tony-nominated comedy Hand to God. Read Playbill.com's Q&A with Saget in which we ask him questions like, "Who's dirtier, you or Tyrone?"

Nov. 5: Feel the rhythm of the music getting stronger in On Your Feet!, the new musical based on the lives of seven-time Grammy winner Gloria Estefan and her husband, producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan. The show opens at Broadway's Marquis Theatre under the direction of two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell

Nov. 8: Two icons unite in the new Broadway musical Allegiance: "Star Trek" legend George Takei and Miss Saigon and Les Miz star Lea Salonga lead the cast of this World War II-set story inspired by Takei's childhood. SPECIAL EVENTS

Oct. 30: New York Restoration Project (NYRP) kicks off the weekend of Halloween celebrations with Bette Midler's madcap masquerade gala, Hulaween. The Waldorf Astoria is transformed into Hell Night on Hulaween Island, with proceeds going to support Midler's vision for a "cleaner, greener NYC."

Nov. 2: President Barack Obama returns to Hamilton for an election-eve Democratic Party fundraiser. The cast is giving up their usual day off to perform for the President, with proceeds going towards the Democratic Hope Fund.

Nov. 2: The Drama League celebrates its Centennial Gala at New York's Plaza Hotel with a tribute to three-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters. The star-studded event features hosts Michael Douglas and Gloria Estefan, as well as guests Norm Lewis, Chip Zien and Andrew Rannells, amongst many more. 

Nov. 4: Broadway on the High Seas 5, Playbill Travel's luxury international cruise, tours the coastline of Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia with a talent roster that includes Kerry Butler, Liz Callaway, Hunter Foster and Norm Lewis. 

Nov. 8: Jersey Boys celebrates its 10 year anniversary on Broadway with a special performance.
