Following critically-acclaimed run of The Iliad and The Comedy Of Errors at the Clark Studio, the Aquila Theatre Company premieres its fall season with a production of Rostand's Cyrano De Bergerac. Performances begin Aug. 17. The play will run through Sept. 17.
The Aquila Theatre Company, the first mixed British/American Equity approved Off-Broadway company, is run by producing director Peter Meineck. Aquila's production of Edmond Rostand's classic will be directed and adapted by Aquila associate artistic director Robert Richmond.
First staged in Paris in 1897, Cyrano is a poignant love story that has become known as a tour de force for leading men in the title role.
The cast includes Lisa Carter as Roxanne, Anthony Cochrane as Cyrano Sean Fri, Alvero Heinig, Jennie Israel), William Kwapy, Daniel Rappaport and Noah Trepanier.
The creative team comprises Robert Richmond and Peter Meineck (design), Anthony Cochrane (composer/musical director), Peter Meineck (lighting design), Justine Scherer (costumier) and Nate Terracio (company manager).
