News Off-Broadway to Take Another 2.5 Minute Ride in 2008 Lisa Kron's 2.5 Minute Ride will return to the New York stage with Nicole Golden starring in a new Off-Broadway production in January.

Matt M. Morrow will direct the work, which is slated to begin Jan. 18, 2008, and open Jan. 19 at Altered Stages for a run through Feb. 9.

In 2.5 Minute Ride, according to show notes, "Brooklyn, Sandusky and Auschwitz collide in an hilarious and poignant tale of one woman's journey on the thrill ride that is family."

This staging will mark the solo play's first New York mounting since Kron's own 1999 Public Theater run in 1999. Mark Brokaw directed the debut, which earned Kron a Special Citation from the Obie Awards.

Golden appeared in Young, Sexy and Talented at the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival. Other stage credits include The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Cloud Nine, The Miss Firecracker Contest, Hamlet, The Good Doctor, All in the Timing, The Country Wife and The Bourgeois Gentleman.

The design team for 2.5 Minute Ride features Mark Erbaugh (set), Gina Scherr (lighting) and Amy Altadonna (sound). Andrea Dionne serves as production stage manager. Playwright Kron has also penned Well and 101 Humiliating Stories, Charity and Montecore, 43/13 and Martha. She has also appeared in The Vagina Monologues and The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told.
