News Off-Broadway's Beauty On the Vine Begins Performances April 24 The Epic Theatre Center production of Beauty On the Vine begins performances April 24 at the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row.

Zak Berkman's drama, directed by David Schweizer, is scheduled to officially open May 2. The limited engagement will run through June 3.

Olivia Wilde, who played Irish-American widow Jenny on the just-canceled NBC drama "The Black Donnellys," is featured in a cast that also includes Helen Piper Coxe, Barbara Garrick, Howard Overshown, Jessica Richardson and Victor Slezak.

The design team comprises Narelle Sissons (scenic design), Justin Townsend (lighting design), Ryan Rumery (sound design) and Gabrielle Berry (costume design).

"From mixed-race identities to extreme plastic surgery," read Beauty On the Vine press notes, "[the show] is a romantic fable about the power of the human face in Lindsay Lohan America. When a young female star of right-wing radio is brutally murdered, her husband and father investigate the reasons behind the violence. They discover a world where young women transform themselves to look like their idols and mothers lose their daughters to the illusion of popularity and power."

In addition to "The Black Donnellys," Olivia Wilde has been seen on screen in "Skin," "The O.C." and "Alpha Dog." She recently filmed "The Death and Life of Bobby Z" and "Conversations with Other Women." Wilde won a Best Actress Award at the Aspen Film Festival for her role in the independent feature "Bickford Schmeckler's Cool Ideas."
