News Off-Broadway's Wyoming Begins Tonight With Original Score by Fleet Foxes Frontman Robin Pecknold, lead singer of the Grammy-nominated indie group Fleet Foxes, has written an original score for Brian Watkins' new play, Wyoming, which begins performances Jan. 15 at Theater for the New City.

Pecknold collaborated with drummer and singer/songwriter Neal Morgan on the music. The show is directed by Danya Taymor and presented by Lesser America. Performances run through Jan. 31 at Theater for the New City.

According to Lesser America, Wyoming centers on the Tuttle family's rocky and revealing Thanksgiving evening. "When their estranged and silent brother is spotted at a hometown diner 20 years after a confounding childhood crime, buried memories and unspoken bounties hatch one boozy, plotting Thanksgiving. In the depths of Wyoming's wilderness, the family herd must stick together or teeter towards the way of the buffalo."

The cast features Daniel Abeles, Carter Hudson, Layla Khoshnoudi, Roger Lirtsman, Nate Miller, Laura Ramadei and Sarah Sokolovic.

Brian Watkins is a Brooklyn-based playwright whose plays include My Daughter Keeps a Hammer and General Store. His work has been produced or developed with The Flea, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Williamstown Theatre Festival among others.

Lesser America is an ensemble of theatre artists "dedicated to smart, quality entertainment that puts the audience first, fulfilling the promise of affordable, accessible theatre."
