News Olivia Wilde Joins the Cast of "Welcome to People" Film Stage and screen star Olivia Wilde will join Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks in the upcoming film "Welcome to People," which is set to start production this month in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Wilde will play the girlfriend of Pine's character, a businessman who returns home after his estranged father's death to discover an alcoholic sister (Banks) with a 12-year-old son.

Screenwriter Alex Kurtzman ("Star Trek") co-wrote the film with Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert. Kurtzman will also make his directorial debut on the project.

Wilde appeared in the 2007 Off-Broadway production of Beauty on the Vine. Known for her work as Dr. Remy Hadley on the Fox series "House," her film credits include "The Next Three Days," "Tron: Legacy," and the series "The Black Donnellys," "The O.C." and "Skin."
