News Olivier Award Winner Henshall to Tour in Sound of Musicals Ruthie Henshall, the Olivier Award-winning actress who has been seen on Broadway in Chicago, Miss Saigon and Putting It Together, will be the special guest star in the upcoming U.K. tour of The Sound of Musicals.

The tour will feature songs from a mix of West End and Broadway musicals, including Chicago, Mamma Mia!, My Fair Lady, High Society, Les Misérables, Crazy for You, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, The Phantom of the Opera and Kiss Me, Kate. Ruthie Henshall was last seen in the West End in the title role of the Michel Legrand/Boublil and Schonberg musical Marguerite at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. Other West End credits include the original London casts of the import of Broadway's Crazy for You (Prince Edward Theatre, 1993), She Loves Me (Savoy Theatre, 1994, winning the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical) and Chicago (playing Roxie Hart at the Adelphi, 1997). She also starred in the British premiere of Peggy Sue Got Married (Shaftesbury Theatre, 2001) and took over leading roles in Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Oliver! and The Woman in White. Henshall has been seen on Broadway in Miss Saigon, Chicago (playing Velma Kelly) and Putting It Together.
