Ruthie Henshall was last seen in the West End in the title role of the Michel Legrand/Boublil and Schonberg musical Marguerite at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. Other West End credits include the original London casts of the import of Broadway's Crazy for You (Prince Edward Theatre, 1993), She Loves Me (Savoy Theatre, 1994, winning the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical) and Chicago (playing Roxie Hart at the Adelphi, 1997). She also starred in the British premiere of Peggy Sue Got Married (Shaftesbury Theatre, 2001) and took over leading roles in Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Oliver! and The Woman in White. Henshall has been seen on Broadway in Miss Saigon, Chicago (playing Velma Kelly) and Putting It Together.
