News O'Neill Music Theatre Conference Casts Dixon, De Haas, Desai, LaManna and More Jerry Dixon, Darius de Haas, Angel Desai and Janine LaManna will be part of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Music Theatre Conference, which launches June 26 in Waterford, CT.

Running June 26-July 16, the conference will workshop the musicals Buddy's Tavern, Clear and Eden. Paulette Haupt serves as artistic director. Buddy’s Tavern, with a score by Kim Oler, lyrics by Alison Hubbard and a book by Raymond De Felitta, will feature de Haas, Allison Briner, Jordan Gelber, Michaela Koerner, Jodie Langel, William Parry, Steve Routman and Lindsey Van Winkle. Warren Carlyle will direct (June 26, 27, 30 and July 2).

Clear has book, music and lyrics by Paul Oakley Stovall and additional music by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, and Irv Johnson and Stephen Goers. Daniel Goldstein will direct a cast including Yasmin Alers, Ken Barnett, Clifton Duncan, George Farmer, Ryan Link, Leenya Rideout, Brad Simmons and Stovall (July 3, 4, 7 and 9).

Eden, featuring a score by Mel Marvin and book and lyrics by Jonathan Levi, will feature Desai, Dixon, LaManna, Celisse Henderson, Matthew Scott and Bob Stillman. Stuart Ross will direct (July 10, 11, 14 and 16).

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center was founded in 1964 and is based in Waterford, CT. Programs at the Center include the Puppetry Conference, Playwrights Conference, Critics Institute, Music Theater Conference and the National Theater Institute. The Monte Cristo Cottage, O'Neill's childhood home, is also owned and operated by the group.
