The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center of Waterbury, CT, will present a reading of Dan O'Brien's new play, Moving Picture July 12-13, as part of the O’Neill Playwrights Conference. Gerald Freeman will direct.
Moving Picture is set from 1888 to 1894. The play looks at the relationship between Thomas Edison and his young protégé, William Dickson. The reading is at 9 PM.
The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, founded in 1964 and based in Waterford CT, is home to programs that explore the variety of theatrical disciplines and forms, including: the Playwrights Conference, Music Theater Conference, Critics Institute, Puppetry Conference and Cabaret Symposium, as well as the National Theater Institute and the Monte Cristo Cottage, the childhood home of O’Neill.
