News Original Cast Members Reunite for Grand Hotel: The 25th Anniversary Concert Tonight The 54 Sings series continues May 24 with Grand Hotel: The 25th Anniversary Concert at the intimate Manhattan nightspot 54 Below.

The 7 PM and 9:30 PM concerts feature members of the original Broadway cast and more. Scheduled to perform are Tony winner Liliane Montevecchi, Tony nominee Karen Akers, Tony nominee Tim Jerome, Tony nominee Walter Willison, Brent Barrett, Ben George, David Jackson, Ken Jennings, Hal Robinson, Meg Tolin Piper, David White, Penny Worth, Chip Zien, Michael Choi, Bill Coyne, Joshua Dixon, Erin Marie, Nathan Meyer, Chelsie Nectow, Michael Jayne Walker and Jackie Washam.

Willison directs and hosts the evening with musical direction by Alex Rybeck and dances supervised by Yvonne Marceau.

Based on Vicki Baum's "Grand Hotel," the musical of the same name features a score by Robert Wright and George Forrest and a book by Luther Davis. Tony Award winner Maury Yeston contributed additional songs to the score. Song titles include "Who Couldn’t Dance," "Maybe My Baby Loves Me," "Love Can’t Happen" and "I Want to Go to Hollywood," among others.

Grand Hotel began previews at Broadway's Martin Beck Theatre Oct. 16, 1989, later transferring to the Gershwin Theatre. The musical played a total of 31 previews and 1,017 regular performances. Directed and choreographed by Tommy Tune, the original cast featured David Carroll, Karen Akers, Jane Krakowski, Michael Jeter and Liliane Montevecchi.
