News Original Cast Members Will Reanimate '90's Musical The Life at 54 Below The Life, the 1997 musical about the lives of prostitutes working in Times Square during the 1980's, will be revived for two performances only at the New York cabaret venue 54 Below. The concert, to be performed twice on May 17, will feature members of the original Broadway cast.

The show will feature songs from the Tony-nominated score including "The Oldest Profession," "My Body," "People Magazine," "My Friend" and more. With musical direction by Jesse Vargas, the cast will include Bellamy Young, Marcus Paul James, Telly Leung, Ciara Renee and Raena White; with appearances by Felicia Finley, Katy Grenfell, LaDonna Burns and Marrisa Rosen.

The Life, with music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Ira Gasman; and book by Coleman, Gasman and David Newman, opened on Broadway in April 1997 and played a total of 466 performances. It was nominated for 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical, and made a star of Lillias White.
