The Bardy Bunch: The War of the Families Partridge and Brady, a musical parody by Stephen Garvey that was seen Off-Broadway in 2014, will begin a limited Chicago engagement September 15 at the Mercury Theater. Annie Watkins will reprise the role of Jan, which she originated Off-Broadway.

The cast will also include Skyler Adams as Keith, Brianna Borger as Shirley, Timothy Eidman as Chris, Dan Gold as Peter, Cory Goodrich as Carol, Tina Gluschenko as Alice, Callie Johnson as Cindy, Jeffery Max as Reuben, Erin McGrath as Laurie, Jake Nicholson as Bobby, Jared Rein as Danny, Olivia Renteria as Marcia, Mary-Margaret Roberts as Tracy, Sawyer Smith as Greg, Jake Stempel as Chris, Stef Tovar as Mike and Bret Tuomi as Sam.

Directed by Jay Stern, The Bardy Bunch will officially open September 26 for a run through November 27.

The Bardy Bunch, a mash-up of a dozen Shakespeare plays set in the 1970s, features 15 hit songs made famous on The Partridge Family and The Brady Bunch, including “I Think I Love You,” “It’s a Sunshine Day” and “I Woke Up in Love This Morning.”

Here’s how the show is billed: “It is 1974. We join the Bradys and the Partridges just after the ABC Network ceased airing their chronicles. It was a summer when these beloved TV families, no longer under America's watchful eye, met on a collision course in a blood-soaked, vengeance-fueled, lust-filled crossover episode of Shakespearean proportions.”

The show premiered at the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival, where it won an Overall Excellence Award for Outstanding Ensemble. It went on to play a sold-out Off-Broadway run at the Theatre at St. Clement’s in the spring of 2014.

Other members of the creative team include choreographer Lorna Ventura and music director Logan Medland. Mike Timoney and Disappearing Dog, LLC produce.

The Mercury Theater is located at 3745 N. Southport Avenue in Chicago, IL. Tickets are available at MercuryTheaterChicago.com or by phone at (773) 325-1700. For more information, visit TheBardyBunch.com.
