Classic Arts News Orlando Ballet Names Bruce Marks Interim Director Former Boston Ballet artistic director Bruce Marks will lead Orlando Ballet on an interim basis starting January 1, the Orlando Business Journal reports.
Fernando Bujones, Orlando Ballet's artistic director since 2000, died on November 10 after developing lung cancer and skin cancer.

Marks danced with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre, and Royal Danish Ballet before directing Ballet West and Boston Ballet in the 1970s, '80s, and '90s.

"Mr. Marks is an amazing artist, and Orlando Ballet is fortunate to have him lead our company," former board president Tricia Earl told the Business Journal.
